Why sponsor this child?
“I want to see my son become a well-renowned person in this village, and to show my husband I can send him to a private school for a quality education,” Manoj Timisina's mother told us.
His father lives nearby with another wife but he doesn’t provide for them. Manoj's verbally-impaired mother is the main source of the household income. She does whatever work she can to support her children in their education. Manoj and his sister are aware of how difficult their mother's life is, and they help out around the house as much as they can. “I want to earn enough money to make my mother happy,” Manoj said.
Manoj's 16-year-old sister is supporting herself in her Grade 9 studies. "I manage my own education expenses, so if my brother is sponsored it will be good for our family," she said.
